Oil paint (water soluable) and pallete knives. Unfortunately it's called the dreaded marble. My art 3 class focuses on developing a personal style. To do this I like using a familiar still life object, in this case marbles, and use 3 different mediums and 3 different styles. With this project students must use at least 3 colors in ever object. (background, table, and 3 marbles). When choosing colors for the marbles students pick a base color. From that color they pick 1-2 analogous colors and 1 complement.
The background and table are done the same way but the can add neutrals. No brushes are used Which shape shows the best form for the apple. Remember shapes can be turned to any angle.
Merry Christmas! I am still learning how to blog, so please bare with me.
Things to come: full lessons from kindergarten through 2nd grade. I believe in a shape to form to detail process. My lessons are high energy and packed full of fillers. I hope you enjoy. I also will share Art 1,2,3,4 and AP studio 2-d. Mary's concentration theme was first times. The pictures feature breadth and concentration pictures.
Dog one is the first dog piece she did in AP. Learning to use colors and not staying with the colors that come in a boxes gives an artist so much more depth and richness.
